Объект набора записей
Объект ADO Recordset используется для хранения набора записей из таблицы базы данных. Объект Recordset состоит из записей и столбцов (полей).
В ADO этот объект является наиболее важным и чаще всего используется для управления данными из базы данных.

Когда вы впервые открываете набор записей, указатель текущей записи будет указывать на первую запись, а свойства BOF и EOF имеют значение False. Если записей нет, свойства BOF и EOF имеют значение True.
Объекты набора записей могут поддерживать два типа обновления:
- Немедленное обновление — все изменения немедленно записываются в базу данных после вызова метода Update.
- Пакетное обновление — провайдер будет кэшировать несколько изменений, а затем отправлять их в базу данных с помощью метода UpdateBatch.
В ADO определено 4 различных типа курсора:
- Динамический курсор — позволяет видеть добавления, изменения и удаления других пользователей.
- Курсор набора ключей — подобен динамическому курсору, за исключением того, что вы не можете видеть добавления других пользователей и предотвращает доступ к записям, которые были удалены другими пользователями. Изменения данных другими пользователями по-прежнему будут видны.
- Статический курсор — предоставляет статическую копию набора записей, которую можно использовать для поиска данных или создания отчетов. Добавления, изменения или удаления другими пользователями не будут видны. Это единственный тип курсора, разрешенный при открытии объекта Recordset на стороне клиента.
- Курсор только вперед — позволяет прокручивать набор записей только вперед. Добавления, изменения или удаления другими пользователями не будут видны.
Тип курсора можно задать с помощью свойства CursorType или параметра CursorType в методе Open.
Примечание. Не все поставщики поддерживают все методы или свойства объекта Recordset.
